    My dad got sick this past Christmas and passed in January 2022. As soon as I found out he was sick my kids and I jumped on a plane and flew from Germany to Michigan to be with him while leaving my husband Zack behind. As soon as I got back to the states I contacted the owner Taylor Raszka about signing up for a membership. From day one this place has felt like home. The coaches are great and the people are the best! I have made some wonderful friends and great memories. I am so thankful I have had this gym to help me get through this hard time in my life. I couldn’t do it without Pillar Fitness!

    Four years ago (March 26, 2018) I joined River Raisin CrossFit. At the time I was 62 years old and wasn't quite sure if this was for me. So, I started with a six week challenge to make sure I liked it. By the end of the six weeks I loved it and decided to join the gym as a full time member.
    Some of the things I love most about Pillar Fitness is the atmosphere, the people, and the wonderful coaches. I like group training and having a coach to teach how to do things properly. It holds me more accountable to show up and to push myself harder. I also love the fact that each workout can be modified and/or scaled as needed.
    Pillar Fitness has a wide range of ages for members. No matter the age, everyone feels welcomed and we all interact with one another. We are like one big happy family. There is always someone cheering you on, and telling you good job when you finish.
    For me, age is just a number and you can do whatever you set out to do!
